The Challenge Games 30 Years of Fun and Participation
What a party we had this year celebrating 30 years of inclusive athletics.
We are very lucky to have Carly Salmon, Co-Captain of the Paramatildas at The Challenge Games this year. Carly will be at the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and will be on hand during the two days to give out ribbons and chat with the participants.
‘I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 18 months of age and was told I would never be able to play sport. With the belief of my family, I have worked hard to defy those odds and have competed in both athletics and soccer at an elite level. I have competed in numerous Athletics World Championships and at the 2018 Commonwealth Games as a 100m and 200m sprinter. I am now the current co-captain of the Paramatildas football team, where I play as both a midfielder and goal keeper. Outside of sport, I have a passion for working with young people and am a Primary School Teacher.’
This year, we’ve partnered with Athletics North Queensland to ensure that our volunteers are covered by insurance. To access this coverage, all volunteers must complete the registration process. Please use this link to register.
