The Challenge Games is on next week

The Challenge Games is on the 23 and 24 July at the Townsville Sports Precinct

2025 will be another amazing event for Townsville and North Queensland. This event is held each year in Townsville at the Townsville Sports precinct and is an amazing athletic event for children with a disability.

The Challenge Games starts with an opening ceremony held on Wednesday 23 at 10am with an all schools march past and an opening ceremony. There will be over 1000 children from all over North Queensland attending the two day event. Political and community dignitaries will attend the Opening Ceremony and attend during the event.

As well as a variety of athletic events for the children to participate in there are also a range of other activities such as Wheelchair Rugby League, Table tennis and Australian Rules football just to name a few.

There may be athletes who trial in the Gail Brodie Trials and achieved their PB. There will be professional classifiers in attendance to answer any question on classifications.

This is a free event and everyone is welcome to attend and watch some amazing young athletes.
