The Challenge Games 2026

Last year, The Challenge Games was another outstanding success, with more than 1200 students attending the two-day event. Students from across North Queensland came together to enjoy a range of fun and inclusive physical activities, while building friendships and lasting memories.

Our 2025 Ambassador, Sasha White, a deaf athlete represented Australia at the Deaflympics in Tokyo in November last year. Sasha’s journey began at The Challenge Games, where she developed a pathway toward achieving her athletic goals. Her story is a powerful example of the opportunities the event provides for aspiring athletes.

In 2026, we are proud to introduce a new Ambassador who will inspire and engage with students and families, sharing insights into their own athletic pathway and encouraging participation.

The Challenge Games remains a free event for spectators and offers two exciting days of participation, enjoyment, and the celebration of remarkable athletic achievements. Food and refreshments will be available through the on-site canteen, operated by the Townsville Community Learning Centre School, with all proceeds supporting the school community.
