“I would like to thank the North Queensland Sports Foundation for giving me this award. I am humbled by this award and will continue to work towards more para athletes achieving their goals.

Good morning, Lynne Derry and The Challenge Games Committee.

The North Queensland Sports Foundation in collaboration with the Mount Isa City Council and stakeholders will host the 2024 NQ Sportstar Awards in Mount Isa Saturday October 26th.

These will be the 33rd NQ Sportstar Awards and the first ever hosted in Mount Isa, making this a very special event.

The Awards is a very unique platform and one of the very few dedicated multi-sport Awards remaining across Queensland.

Recognising our regional athletes who have had to overcome more challenges than most to reach their potential is extremely important.

Just as important as it is to recognise the many Volunteers who have dedicated their time and resources to making sport accessible and enjoyable for our communities.

The Service to Sport category has had some notable winners over the years with last years winner also recognised as a QSport Awards Finalist.

Lynne you are a finalist for the Service to Sport category for the 2024 NQ Sportstar Awards.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite and encourage The Challenge Games to attend the Awards.

Townsville City Council does provide some support to assist their Finalists to attend and we can facilitate this request if require
